This website was designed by Ray Kleiner. He is a businessman/entrepreneur who has developed a keen interest in photography shooting now in black & white and using a manual rangefinder camera. The purpose of the website is to share the concept of 'no rules' photography and to encourage people to try a different approach, more, well, freestyle. To get on the edge from time to time and to let it go.

This website represents a journey into photography. Sooner or later we all pick up a camera and start to shoot film, then the results come back and we are often disappointed. Some of the most striking images have been taken by those brave enough to break the rules. So this site is about a journey from colour to black & white, from a single lens reflex auto-everything camera to a manual rangefinder camera and the journey from the conventional to the unconventional.

The most exciting images can be created by not following all the rules. Certain pictures work when the rules were adhered to but pictures about people and life offer tremendous scope for experimentation and discovery. People can be the most fascinating subjects offering endless possibilities to experiment and to create exciting images that 'work'.

In recent times, my work has been influenced in the main by some leading documentary photographers such as Salgado but also by leading photojournalists, commercial photographers and by some great street photographers and I thank them all here for giving us such pleasure and enthusiasm to seek to achieve the standards they have set.

The best pictures are yet to be taken........................
